Healthy Body, Healthy Mind

Health is everything we have. All people will enjoy better health if they are able to get outside to exercise - they also do better when they interact with other people. In the times we are living through now EVERYONE has experienced the negative effects of being confined and limited in terms of in-person interactions. The negative effects are real and we don't want that for anyone.

Outlook improves when we get out in nature and get fresh air in our lungs, blood pumping in our veins. Vitamin D from the sun is something our body is meant to have. There's also something about heading out to enjoy a park a beach that is soothing - being in nature puts life in perspective and allows stressful distractions to fall away. We need this.

The more obstacles in ones life, the more one needs to access moments of relaxation. If you've ever allowed yourself to make up excuses for not doing what you know you should be doing, you can imagine what putting a real world obstacle in your path would do in terms of getting out in nature.

Whether you are a person with a disability, a person who cares about a person with the a disability or are just a person - we can all agree that investments made to public outdoor spaces which make them accessible to every one is the right thing to do.
