Located deep in the rolling hills of the Berkshires, Windsor State Forest is known for its beauty. Visitors can experience the cascading waterfall at Windsor Jambs, and the Windsor Jambs Brook winds through a wide gorge with 80-foot granite walls.

Wilson Mountain Reservation is 207 acres of wild and varied terrain. Large tangled thickets of rhododendrons grow on a hillside. Wilson Mountain is the highest point in Dedham at 295 feet.

Explore 40 miles of trails at Willowdale. If you're looking for something water-based, check out Hood Pond west of Route 1.

Willard Brook State Forest sits on 2,597 acres near Townsend, MA. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities, including, hiking, and cross-country skiing.

Whitehall State Park's main feature is the Whitehall Reservoir, where visitors can boat (boat ramp available) and fish. The reservoir is a popular icefishing spot, too. Hikers will find trails along the reservoir's edges.

Visitors to this former railroad yard in North Adams, MA will learn about the controversial and dangerous construction of the Hoosac Tunnel, which spanned 1851-1875. 200 people were killed while building this 4.75-mile tunnel.

Wendell State Forest is 7,566 acres of rolling forested hills, streams, ponds, trails, a baseball diamond, and a picnic area. You can visit Wendell any time of year.
