The following amenities and facilities are wheelchair accessible: one picnic shelter at Crabtree Creek; one picnic shelter at Reedy Creek; and the visitor center. At the visitor center, the auditorium and classroom are accessible.
The visitor center is wheelchair accessible, with the exception of the classroom. Accessible parking and restrooms are provided. Pets are not allowed in the cabins or the cabin areas. Pets are allowed in most other outdoor areas on lease.

The summit area at the mountain section of the park has a wheelchair-accessible overlook, and the picnic area has an accessible path. Accessible parking is provided at the visitor center and at the summit. Pets are allowed in most outdoor areas.
The Boardwalk Trail and the fishing pier are both wheelchair accessible. Accessible parking and restrooms are provided. Pets are allowed in most outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet.
There are no marked accessible parking spaces at Occoneechee Mountain State Natural Area, and the parking area is crushed gravel. The restroom is wheelchair accessible. Pets are allowed in most outdoor areas if they are kept under physical restraints.
