This over 5,300 acre forest sits in the center of Martha's Vineyard. You'll find miles of trails, a paved shared-use path, and a disc golf course.

Covering over 1,000 acres, Wrentham State Forest is a minimally developed area. The gravel parking area on Taunton Street leads to miles of weaving trails and dirt roads. Trails are open for hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing.

Wompatuck State Park spans 3,526 acres of forest, streams and ponds. Offering an over 250 site campground, 12 miles of non-motorized roads and 40 miles of forest trails, the park is a great place to get into nature.

The reservation is open year-round, but summer is the time to visit and escape the heat. Enjoy swimming in the ocean, launch your boat, or sunbathe on the beach. The state of Massachusettes does not provide any accessible swimming options at Lynn Shore & Nahant Beach Reservation. This rail trail spans 5 miles from Dorchester, MA into Milton, MA. Enjoy the views of the Neponset River as you walk or ride along the trail. Nearby parks also offer plenty of fun for the family.

The forest spreads across 3 towns and features over 1,000 acres to explore. Hike, bike, or ski though 6 miles of trails. You'll also find plenty of ponds, swamps, and wetlands great for boating or fishing.

Lowell Heritage State Park features exhibits, created in partnership with the National Park Service, that will teach you about the historic network of canals and mills constructed in the 19th century to power Lowell's then-bustling textile industry.

From hiking and mountain biking to rock climbing and fishing, Leominster State Forest has everything for outdoor enthusiasts. Hike a segment of the 95-mile Midstate Trail or take a dip in Crow Hill Pond.

The Leo J. Martin Ski Track operating season commences in mid December and ends in mid-late March (weather permitting). The Ski Track is open through reservation only for the 2020-2021 season.

This 18-hole golf course is one of two state-operated courses. Reserve a tee time and enjoy a relaxing day on the green.
